Tim SEMAR UGM terus menunjukkan komitmennya untuk melakukan inovasi terkait dengan produk-produk hemat bahan bakar dan ramah lingkungan. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui kompetisi mobil hemat energi berskala nasional, Kontes Mobil Hemat Energi (KMHE) 2015, kategori Prototype Diesel, 21-25 Oktober 2015 lalu.

Dalam kontes ini mobil Proto Tim SEMAR didesain dengan body se-aerodinamis mungkin dan berkonsep streamline untuk mengurangi gesekan dengan udara. Body SEMAR Proto berbahan serat karbon yang materialnya ringan namun tetap kuat. Bimasakti team of UGM once again creates formula car for the fourth time. This time, the said team, led by Rifqi Bustanul Faozan, will compete in The 12th Student Formula SAE Competition 2014. The competition will be held in Japan from 6-11 September.

The launching was attended by thousands of freshmen enrolled in Engineering Faculty of Universitas Gadjah Mada, as a part of freshmen orientation event titled PPSMB PRISMA. The purpose of the launching was to introduce Bimasakti UGM to the freshmen as well as to inspire them to create something while enrolling in Faculty of Engineering. Aside from that, the Bimasakti team was asking for blessings and prayers from all the freshmen so that the team can achieve well in Student Formula SAE competition. To celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Mechanical Engineering Department, the KMTM Student Alumni division, headed by Galih Primayoga (TM.12), and Dr. R. Rachmat A. Sriwijaya, S.T., M.T, the Committee Chairman of our departments 6th lustrum work together to create a series of events. The series of events is opened with The Mechanical Engineering “ Sepeda Gembira (SEGER)”, a casual routed biking activity. With the theme “Segerkan Pikiranmu” (refresh your mind!), this event received good response and feedback from the university, faculty, students, and the public itself. Even after more than 1.000 tickets were sold, demand for tickets kept coming from people who want to participate in this event. read more
